Business operations

Business operations is responsible for the day-today running and support of the BVA.

Veterinary policy

Veterinary policy is responsible for the coordination, administration and formulation of veterinary policy.

The directorate make sure key veterinary issues are raised at the appropriate levels to influence the formulation of policy relevant to the profession. This is achieved with the help of

This directorate also considers matters relating to ethics and welfare through the Ethics and Welfare Group.

Public relations also come under this directorate and it is responsible for communicating the views of the profession to government and the media for lobbying on behalf of the profession.

The work of the BVA Overseas Group and links with European and international veterinary associations are also housed in Veterinary policy.
