Climate change – the role of vets

In this section you can find out more about the causes and effects of climate change and the role of the Veterinary surgeon in responding to it

Background

The term “climate change” is used to imply a significant change from one climatic condition to another.  The effects on the weather patterns of our planet impact on agriculture, animal and human health and the economy.

Veterinary surgeons will play an important role in responding to and mitigating the effects of climate change.
