This section gives an overview of the British Veterinary Association’s (BVA) work in Brussels
Today most veterinary legislation originates in Brussels and it is vital that BVA has a voice within the Commission, the European Parliament and among Member States within the Council of Ministers.
In order to ensure this, we have appointed a representative in Brussels in order to
- improve the flow of information back to the BVA
- provide us with the necessary tools to better engage in Euro-politics
- influence legislation at a very early stage in its development
