Honorary members
Our honorary members are made up of

- honorary associates
- life members
Honorary members
Such eminent professional and scientific persons and others who have rendered distinguished service to the Association or to the veterinary profession, or to the advancement of veterinary science are elected honorary members by an Annual General Meeting of the Association on the recommendation of the Council.
Honorary members have none of the liabilities of members and are not entitled to any vote unless previously members of the Association but are entitled to attend the annual Congress and receive free copies of the official journal and the annual report of the Association and other privileges Council may decide on with the sanction of an AGM.
Honorary associates
Such eminent professional and scientific persons and others who, in the opinion of the Council, will confer honour on or advance the interests of the Association, may, on the recommendation of the Council, be elected honorary associates by an Annual General Meeting until the conclusion of the next AGM of the Association.
Every honorary associate is, on the recommendation of the Council, eligible for re-election as an honorary associate at the next AGM of the Association following appointment or re-appointment.
Honorary associates have none of the liabilities of members and are not entitled to any vote but are entitled to attend the annual Congress and receive free copies of the official journal and the annual report of the Association.
Life members
Any member who, in the opinion of the Council, has given long and valuable support to the Association, may be elected a life member of the Association by a General Meeting of the Association on the recommendation of the Council.
Life members, though exempted from the payment of future subscriptions, retain all their rights and privileges including the right to vote and receive publications of the Association.
