As a BVA member you can benefit by being part of a national association and receive tangible membership benefits that can help you in your professional and personal life.

What's more, you can claim tax back on your BVA membership, saving you up to 40% of the membership fee.
Who can join
Membership is open to
- all members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
- those on the Supplementary Veterinary Register
- students studying for a degree entitling them to membership of the RCVS
- holders of EU veterinary qualifications
- those from other countries with RCVS-accepted qualifications
Associate membership is open to any person who is not eligible for Membership of the Association but who holds such degree or diploma as the Council shall from time to time prescribe may, in the absolute discretion of the Council, be elected as an associate. Associates shall have the privileges of Members but shall not be entitled to vote.
Currently prescribed acceptable qualifications for Associate membership include; RVN, VN, EVN, REVN, DipAVN, BSc, AIBMS, CVPM, VPAC, MBA, CMS, DMS, CMgr, BEVA and ETDip
