BCVA is the cattle specialist division of the BVA. Includes information for farmers and useful links.

British Veterinary Poultry Association
BVPA aim is to facilitate discussion and the exchange of ideas amongst those engaged in the veterinary aspect of poultry disease and husbandry.

Farm Animal Welfare Council
FAWC is an independent advisory body. It aims to keep under review the welfare of farm animals on agricultural land, at market, in transit and at the place of slaughter; and to advise the Government of any legislative or other changes that may be necessary.

Meat and Livestock Commission
MLC works with the British meat and livestock industry (cattle, sheep and pigs) to improve its efficiency and competitive position; and to maintain and stimulate markets at home and abroad, while taking into account needs of consumers.

National Farmers Union
NFU represents the farmers and growers of England and Wales. Its central objective is to promote successful and socially responsible agriculture and horticulture, while ensuring the long term viability of rural communities.

National Mastitis Council
NMC promotes research and provides information on the dairy industry on udder health, milking management, milk quality, and milk safety.

National Pig Association
NPA is active on behalf of members, in Brussels and Whitehall, and with processors, caterers and supermarkets - fighting for the growth and prosperity of the British pig industry.

Pig Disease Information Centre provides extensive information on pig disease.

Pig Veterinary Society
PVS exists to assist its members to care for pigs, through dissemination of knowledge about health, disease, the pig's welfare and its management.

Sheep Veterinary Society
SVS aim is to promote the prevention of disease and the welfare of sheep by providing a forum for discussion, distribution of research results and provision of advice on veterinary matters relating to sheep.

VETAID
VETAID works to reduce poverty and increase food security of people dependent on livestock.
