Responsibility and cost sharing in managing animal health
31 March 2009
Commenting on the publication yesterday (Monday) by Defra of its consultation on proposals for responsibility and cost sharing in managing animal health in England, BVA President Nicky Paull said “The proposals described in Defra’s consultation will have significant implications for the livestock sector including how veterinarians engage with their clients and government in managing disease.
The BVA will be examining the proposals closely and will be putting our views to government. I urge veterinary surgeons, and indeed all in the livestock sector, to get involved with the consultation and ensure that their voices are heard.”
