Vets in the Wider World was the Overseas Group's session at BVA Congress 2007.
This year's BVA Congress featured a session on livestock and livelihoods and the role that animal health can play in the arena of international development.
Partnerships
Our strength lies in our ability to network and collaborate. Much of this work is undertaken through the BVA Overseas Association, an informally structured group whose members have an interest in overseas activities.
The BVA Overseas Group has links with many international organisations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and works closely with the
all important catalysts in the international exchange of veterinary skills, education and knowledge.
All members of the Overseas Group have experience of veterinary work in developing countries. The chairman of the Group is Karen Reed.
