Peter Jinman graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1974. He is the senior partner in a four person mixed veterinary practice. He has a wide range of professional accreditations and is a Local Veterinary Inspector (LVI), a named veterinary surgeon under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act and a Riding Establishments Inspector as well as being a member of the Measurement Panel of Horses. He also worked for many years as an Official Veterinary Surgeon in both the red and white meat industries. Peter is a member of a number of BVA divisions and represented Midland Counties on BVA Council for fourteen years. He is a founder member of the BVA Ethics Committee, a member of the Government's Spongiform Encephalopathy Advisory Committee (SEAC) and has recently been appointed a member of the Rural Affairs Advisory Committee of the BBC. He has extensive media experience, holds a Diploma in Arbitration and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration.
