BVA President
Mr Nick Blayney

    

 

Mr Nick Blayney's Biography

 

Nick Blayney qualified from Liverpool in 1980 and has been in full time practice ever since. He spent a decade working in Herefordshire, in mainly farm and equine work.

Nick has been involved in BVA affairs for nearly twenty years, from being a member of Midland Counties Veterinary Association, to secretary of Warwickshire Veterinary Club. He has also served on the Council of the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons and as their Honorary Secretary. Nick was Chairman of BVA’s Members’ Services Group until October 2006 when he stepped down and to become BVA President-Elect.

Mr David Catlow

Mr David Catlow's Biography 

David Catlow graduated from Liverpool University in 1987 and immediately joined a 5-vet mixed Practice on the Fylde coast, Lancashire. He joined the partnership in 1992 and has helped to develop the Practice into what is now a 3-centre 14 vet Practice.  His work is predominantly with horses and farm animals across the county of Lancashire.

Through Lancashire Veterinary Association he has developed a keen interest in veterinary politics and served as their President in 2000. He has served on several BVA committees including Veterinary Services Advisory Committee; Internal Audit Group; Practice Standards Working Party (RCVS) and Chairman of the Veterinary Policy Group.

Mrs Nicky Paull

 

Mrs Nicky Paull's Biography

Nicky Paull qualified from Liverpool in 1979 joining a three vet mixed practice in Lostwithiel, Cornwall with a work load of about 80% farm work, which she purchased in 1988.  The practice has now grown to a partnership of three employing eight veterinary associates and 25 support staff. 

Nicky has been President of the Cornwall Veterinary Association and Treasurer and President of the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons, representing SPVS on BVA Council for four years.  She was a member of the Member Services Group for three years and joined the BVA Veterinary Policy Group in 2005.
