The BVA is a membership organisation that exists primarily for its members, who are qualified vets or veterinary students.

This is the public information section of our website. However, much of the information requested by the public is best obtained through specialist organisations rather than the BVA.

We therefore ask that before writing or calling, you make sure you look at the FAQ in the menu to the left and the other pages in this section which answer the most popular queries we have.

In our Contact and Resources section you will find details of other organisations that specifically help the public and might be able to answer your question better than we can and the Careers section details information on working with animals in any capacity.
