The award is open to
- graduates of the veterinary schools in the UK and Ireland who have been qualified not more than three years
- to penultimate and final-year veterinary students
2011 Scholarship
Francesca Scott, who is in her final year at Cambridge Veterinary School, was the winner of the Harry Steele-Bodger Memorial Scholarship travel award for 2011. Francesca chose to undertake her elective project in Ghana this summer (2011) where she investigated 300 head of cattle on farms around Greater-Accra to study appropriate action for bovine TB control.
Francesca’s overall aim was to quantify the impact of TB on a cow’s productivity and thus see whether culling TB reactors was of greater economic value than keeping them in the herd as lower-performing individuals.
