YVN representative: John Remnant
John explains why he wants to be a Young Vet Network (YVN) representative
I qualified from Bristol in July 2008 and I am now working at my EMS foster practice in SE Cornwall, a 10 vet mixed practice.
I feel very strongly that my role is to represent the views of all recent graduates via the Young Vet Network (YVN), not just my own views. I would encourage you all to use the YVN forum to raise issues you think are important for recent graduates so that Louisa and I can take them forward to BVA. If you prefer, please feel free to contact me directly if you have an issue you would like brought up or just want to discuss something.
The YVN is a relatively recent development and is the first organisation to represent new graduate vets, the more members we have, the more representative, and loud, our voice will be. Please encourage your friends to join as well, so that new graduates can have a strong voice on BVA council, so that we can let them know what they can do for us.
Together with Louisa, the senior rep, I will be representing the views of recent graduates to BVA and other organisations.
