Veterinary Record

Veterinary Record is BVA's official weekly journal. It contains news, comment, letters and clinical research papers covering a wide range of veterinary topics. Its also the main focus for a wide range veterinary jobs.

BVA grants editorial freedom to the Editor of Veterinary Record. The views expressed in the journal are those of the authors and may not necessarily comply with BVA policy. Veterinary Record is published by BMJ on behalf of BVA.

In Practice

In Practice, published in conjunction with Veterinary Record, provides continuing education material for veterinary practitioners.

Published 10 times a year, In Practice includes articles on veterinary practice management along with a calendar of educational meetings.

    • Veterinary Record Open

      Veterinary Record Open is an online peer review journal dedicated to publishing specialist veterinary research across a range of topic areas including those of a more niche and specialist nature to that considered in the weekly Veterinary Record.

      BVA members receive a 50% discount on all Article Processing Charges (APCs) to cover the cost of publication. This year-long offer will end Tuesday 24 October 2017 when the discount will return to 25%.

      Veterinary Record Case Reports

      Veterinary Record Case Reports aims to publish a high volume of cases in all disciplines so that veterinary professionals, researchers and others can easily find important information on both common and rare conditions.

      BVA members can submit articles for free without having a personal subscription until 31 December 2017.

    Our comprehensive national CPD programme, developed in association with In Practice and sponsored by Subaru, features clinical courses on companion animals, farm animals and equine, as well as a range of nonclinical courses to help you develop your business and personal skills.
