Dechra Veterinary Products has taken over distribution of the oral bronchodilator Dilaterol following its acquisition of Dutch firm LeVet. Dilaterol (which contains clenbuterol hydrochloride) is an oral syrup indicated to treat respiratory disease in horses. It is administered via food and comes in a 355 ml bottle with a pump dispenser for accurate dosing.

Vetoquinol is moving forward with the acquisition of pet worming products Profender and Drontal following communication from the European Commission (EC). Under the EU merger regulation, the EC has approved the proposed acquisition of Bayer’s Animal Health Division by Elanco Animal Health. This decision is conditional on the divestment of products, including the Profender and Drontal product families. Vetoquinol announced the acquisition of these products for the European Economic Area and the UK on 12 February. The transaction is expected to close in early August.
