The Donkey Sanctuary has published a new paperback edition of ‘The Clinical Companion of Donkey Dentistry’. The 250-page book is illustrated with colour photos and diagrams, and includes definitions of the common dental disorders affecting donkeys. It also offers guidance on biosecurity, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as information on quality of life and specialist donkey breeds. The book costs £25 and is available from the charity’s website,, from where it can also be downloaded free of charge as a pdf.
