An app that provides small animal vets with up-to-date evidence-based information is now available.
VETbytes is a point-of-care clinical support tool that has been launched by Vet2Vet and the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA).
The app provides vet teams with an extensive library of quick-to-read medical summaries drawn from global guidelines and peer-reviewed journals.
BSAVA members benefit from discounted subscription fees and vet students can access the information free.
Created by vets Zoe Coker and Bronwen Eastwood, the app offers a centralised resource of practical and evidence-based clinical guides that vets can access on mobile, tablet or desktop.
The VETbytes app currently covers over 100 topics developed in consultation with more than 25 veterinary experts. Further benefits include drug (and constant rate infusions) calculators, a quick reference section and links to hundreds of source abstracts. The content encourages reflective learning and can be used towards CPD hours.
