Nicola di Girolamo has been appointed the new editor of the Journal of Small Animal Practice. He is an associate professor in the department of veterinary clinical sciences at Oklahoma State University, USA. Born in Rome, Italy, he gained his veterinary degree and a PhD in veterinary sciences from the University of Bologna. He then completed a residency at the European College of Zoological Medicine (Herpetology) in Rome and a masters degree in evidence-based healthcare at the University of Oxford. He worked in private practice in Rome and Hong Kong before moving to the USA.
