Event Description

Registration will open at 09.30, with the course starting at 10.00. The course will finish at 16.00.

Providing the best surgical management of common tumours requires a thorough understanding of tumour biology, diagnostic techniques and therapeutic options. This course will deal with some of the most frequently seen tumours in small animals, and will help you to clarify your decision making on when surgery is the most appropriate management technique.

The day will include comprehensive discussion on soft tissue sarcomas, mast cell tumours, and mammary, oral, perineal and rectal tumours. You’ll cover how to improve your removal of simple, discrete masses and learn enhanced techniques for optimising your results when surgical removal of a mass requires large margins, or involves vital structures.

After attending this course you will be able to:

• Accurately diagnose different tumour types
• Undertake proper clinical staging practices
• Make confident decisions on when surgery is indicated
• Define the role of surgery as part of a multimodal approach to tumour management
• Perform improved surgical procedures for tumour management

Please note - if you want to book three courses for the price of two please call Jessica Wachtel on 020 7908 6336.
