Event Description

Registration will open at 09.30, with the course starting at 10.00. The course will finish at 16.00.

For most general practitioners performing dental procedures and talking clients through their pet’s dental disease is a daily (or many-times-a-day) occurrence. Yet hours spent training in dentistry vary wildly and the basics can be overlooked in favour of seemingly more complex areas of medicine.

This course will give you the confidence to know you are offering the best first opinion dental service to your patients. Starting with the things you should know, but might have forgotten, on anatomy, and function. You’ll also cover the more common pathologies of periodontal disease, fractured teeth, tooth resorption and gingivostomatitis, with a practical guide to performing tooth extraction in a controlled and consistent manner.

Finally you’ll learn more about some of the more advanced procedures including root canal treatment, management of malocclusions and oral oncology.

After attending this course you will be able to:

• Use your refreshed knowledge of oral anatomy and function to educate your clients on their pet’s oral health
• Understand the underlying pathology behind dental disease presentations
• Confidently perform the best possible tooth extraction in practice
• Consider using aspects of endodontic treatment, including root canal treatment, in your patients
• Understand the management options for malocclusions including orthodontic treatment.

Please note - if you want to book three courses for the price of two please call Jessica Wachtel on 020 7908 6336.
