Veterinary surveillance - protecting the public from disease

Veterinary surveillance is an important defence in our country's resilience against animal diseases - whether they’re large animal contagions, like foot and mouth, or small animal diseases like rabies.

But with 37% of vets reporting the closure of their local veterinary laboratory, there are concerns about the vital links that keep the UK's animals safe from disease.

Veterinary View is a joint project between BVA and ITN Productions to produce a programme for and about the veterinary profession.
