BVA One Health and Sustainability Award
Awarded in memory of BVA Past President Dr. Simon Doherty, a champion of sustainability and One Health, this award celebrates veterinary-led initiatives that have driven increased awareness and action on these key issues.
Successful projects will demonstrate a tangible impact using One Health principles
Entry criteria:
- Leadership in One Health
Veterinary-led action promoting One Health principles via sustainable methods and outcomes. - Tangible impact
Clear outcomes or measurable change within the workplace, community, environment, or profession. - Awareness-raising
Efforts that have increased understanding, engagement, or dialogue around One Health. - Innovation and initiative
Creative or forward-thinking approaches to tackling One Health challenges.
- Collaboration
Initiatives demonstrate cross-sector collaboration or integrated research from other relevant disciplines.
How will this award be judged?
Judges will score nominations based on the entry criteria. It is not necessary to evidence every criteria, however this will enable a higher score at judging. Our judges will take into consideration the capacity and resources available when scoring impact and awareness raising. Please give as much detail and evidence as possible.
