British Veterinary Association responds to competition watchdog’s provisional decision and welcomes call for vet practice regulation

Celebrating our BVA community at London Pride 2026
It was fantastic to welcome colleagues from the British Veterinary LGBT+ Society (BVLGBT+) to BVA HQ in Mansfield Street this weekend where we gathered to celebrate the society’s annual London Pride Parade event.
The day started with a few words from BVA President Rob Williams and BVLGBT+ President Helen Redpath. Then those taking part in the parade, in their best glitter and rainbow attire, joined the wider Pride community to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
We’re committed to creating a profession where everyone feels welcome, respected and able to be themselves, and Pride is a wonderful annual event that gives us the opportunity to celebrate diversity within the veterinary community.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, marched, volunteered or showed their support. For those that couldn’t make it, there’s more Pride events to come and there are still places available to join BVLGBT at Bristol Pride on Saturday 11 July. Find out more on its website: www.bvlgbt.org
