Grass seed season is here, and you may be seeing increasing numbers of cases where dogs are picking up seeds during walks.

To raise awareness of the risks with your clients and highlight what’s involved in removing these seemingly harmless pieces of nature from tricky places, you can share our #InSafeHands campaign film featuring Max.

Max is a German shepherd who had a grass seed buried deep in his ear. Whilst anesthetised, it was expertly removed from Max’s ear by the team at Mandeville Veterinary Hospital, who then checked the seed for signs of bacteria and infection.

This short film is just one of a series showcasing the real-life stories and experiences of vets working across the profession. Spotlighting the important work you do day to day, from protecting the welfare of the nation’s pets to supporting farmers and food production, international trade, disease control and public health.
