Veterinary professionals are invited to join four in-depth conversations that will tackle key themes that impact recruitment and retention.
The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has launched an innovative new webinar series, Great Workplaces: Raising the Bar (Elevating Skills, Culture, and Leadership). Veterinary professionals are invited to join four in-depth conversations that will tackle key themes that impact recruitment and retention, uncovered through the Great Workplaces by BVA accreditation scheme.
The series kicks off on Wednesday with Mentoring Matters, where attendees will discover how to be both an inspiring mentor or an engaged mentee. All members of the profession are invited to join hosts Rob Williams, BVA President, and Dr. Kirsten Ronngren, ManyPets Consulting Veterinarian & Vet Engagement Lead, for this free, 50-minute CPD session on 1st October at 1pm.
The series, brought to you in collaboration with ManyPets, is created with Great Workplaces by BVA in mind. Introduced in 2024, the accreditation scheme champions positive workplace culture while identifying opportunities for both clinical and non-clinical teams to flourish. Each free webinar session will offer expert insight, practical advice, and handy tips to help vet teams to strengthen their workplace.
Dr Williams said:
“Effective mentorship is the backbone of any thriving veterinary workplace. Whether you’re guiding others or building your own skills, strong mentoring relationships can make all the difference. We hope colleagues find the webinars engaging and informative. In our first session, we’ll explore the power of mentoring and work through common gaps revealed by the Great Workplaces by BVA accreditation scheme.”
Great workplaces by BVA is open to all veterinary professionals, and all workplaces - both clinical and non-clinical. Celebrating excellence, it spotlights workplaces that prioritise staff wellbeing and professional development, and where staff feel valued and empowered.
