British Veterinary Association responds to competition watchdog’s provisional decision and welcomes call for vet practice regulation

Our latest #InSafeHands campaign film, spotlighting the real-life stories and experiences of vets and the work they do to support patients and pet owners in the UK, is live.
The new film features Max, a German shepherd who has a grass seed trapped in his ear, and the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital vet team’s efforts to remove it. A stuck grass seed may seem like a minor issue, but it could have caused serious consequences if unaddressed. So, with a nervous Max needing to be anesthetised to minimise his stress and enable care to be caried out safely for everyone involved, the team use their skills and precision to find and remove the seed.
The series of films showcases the hard work of veterinary professionals in every sector, including those working in small animal practices, supporting farmers and food productions, international trade, disease control and public health.
The series is available to download on our website or find it on social media using #InSafeHands
