Sunscreen, shade and sunset walkies: Vets issue urgent heatwave advice as temperatures set to rival 2018 record

Over the past few days we’ve taken time to pause and reflect on what we’re doing to support Black Lives Matter in the veterinary community
The recent headline news about racist incidents and the deaths of people of colour is a stark reminder to us all to think about what we can do as individuals and as a community to stand up against discrimination.
At BVA we are reflecting on how we can better support our veterinary colleagues who face prejudice. It starts with listening and learning. #BLM #BigConversation #TimeForChange #vetdiversity
Statement from BVA President Daniella Dos Santos
“The British Veterinary Association stands with all members and team vet colleagues who face prejudice. We want to state clearly that Black Lives Matter and it is up to all of us to act against racism and discrimination.
"Discrimination in the veterinary profession needs to be talked about openly and those who call it out must be supported in all veterinary workplaces. We aim to educate ourselves and others through dialogue.”
