The BCT has also provided a veterinary specialist list for bat care (PDF 247 KB) who can advise other vets on how to treat bats that come into their care. This is intended for cases where a bat needs complex medical treatment or surgery. For less serious cases, vets can contact the National Bat Helpline on 0345 1300 228 to be put in touch with a volunteer carer in the local area.
